Business Governance

The Certificate IV in Business (Governance) provides a widely respected, nationally recognised governance qualification for those working on or with the governing structures of Australian companies and community organisations.

Pre-Requisites:
This is an open-entry course. There are no specific requirements you need to fulfill to gain entry.
Assessment:
The program is assessed against 13 component modules, based on participation in the intensive group workshop days and successful completion of follow-up tasks including written assessments comprising questions and review projects.
To successfully complete the course and be awarded the Certificate IV qualification, delegates must demonstrate competency against all 13 modules. The course schedule, follow-up assessments and project work are carefully designed to enable you to do so, and - importantly - to enable you also to apply your learning.
Curriculum:
The course is divided into four distinct themes, each covering a separate aspect of community governance. It is run in groups, which enables idea sharing and problem-solving, among other things.
Session One: Governing

Session Two: Planning

- Preparing & overseeing the organisation's annual budget
- Monitoring financial management and budgets

The program includes instruction, sharing, interaction and is designed to be applied to your own situation and role.
Delivery
The program is delivered in an engaging and entertaining style that aims to full involve each participant whatever their level of experience or needs. Day sessions generally commence 9am through until 4.30pm over the four days.
Over 800 people from organisations of all shapes, sizes and locations have completed the governance program with BSI Learning in the past two years.
